Twitter. Tweets? What is it? How does it work? What could I use it for? Facebook? Is it a waste of time? Surely it’s only for tweenies?

My workshop on Social Networking is taking place on Saturday, 4th October at QUB. It’s for adults!

Q: What is a social networking?

A: It is connecting with friends and others online for the purposes of socialising.

Social networking is used by many people worldwide for connecting with their friends and others for sharing interests, photos and other things you are interested in.

On this practical workshop, you will create your own social networking site, learn how to communicate with others and customise it with templates, photos, links and other applications. A manual will be supplied and you will be given access to three months ‘ free technical support.

This workshop is for total beginners only. Warning: fun guaranteed!

QUB is taking bookings for this course. To book an Open Learning Event, call the School of Education (Open Learning) on 028 9097 3539/3323 or email openlearning.education@qub.ac.uk.

If you’re a child of the forties or later, you’ll remember Tweetie Pie.
